Pet Portraits: Paint Your Favourite Furry Friend

£70.00

Saturday 21st March.
Daytime studio session - 12–4pm.

4-hour workshop with lunch included.

The example shown is one of my mixed-media pet portraits. In this workshop we’ll be creating this expressive style using acrylic paints.

A calm, feel-good afternoon dedicated to the animals we adore. In this personalised workshop, you’ll paint your own pet — dog, cat, rabbit, or any furry (feathered or scaly) friend — using your favourite photo as inspiration.

No drawing experience needed. I’ll show you how to break your reference down into simple shapes, build up colour and texture, and capture all the little quirks and features that make your pet them. It’s relaxed, supportive, and perfect for beginners or anyone who just wants a cosy creative day with meaning.

Lunch is included, and you’ll have plenty of time to work at your own pace.

Expect:
– A relaxed, inspiring studio setting
– Step-by-step artist-led instruction
– Help simplifying your photo into easy shapes
– Techniques for fur, markings, eyes, and character
– All materials provided (we’ll be using acrylic paints)
– Lunch from Brew Coffee Bar included (pre-orders in advance)
– BYOB if you’d like to bring a drink

Please send me a clear digital photo of your pet in advance so I can print it for us to work from on the day.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on — acrylics can stain.

Address:
Studio 4.8
