I have always been fascinated by people and places. I collect images of places I have visited, places that mean something to me and places I dream of seeing one day.

For this collection, I wanted to take a different approach. Instead of beginning with my own images, I asked you to share yours, along with the memories, people and stories attached to them.

I have loved discovering the places that matter to you. Some stories moved me, others made me smile, and many left me yearning to visit places I had never even considered before. So thank you (although my travel list is now significantly longer)

Some photographs became the direct inspiration for a painting; others were simply the starting point for something new. Throughout all of the paintings, I have tried to capture more than just how it looks - I wanted to capture how it feels.

This collection began with your places and your stories. I really hope I have done them justice, and that you find a moment among them that feels like yours.

All my love,

Lauren x
